Meet YOUR COACH

Alicia Ortiz

I am a mental health coach focused on improving relationships for individuals, families, and businesses. I teach leadership skills and communication techniques to boost awareness and stimulate growth. After fifteen years in management consulting, two degrees in communications, and 1000 hours in somatic facilitation training, I help high achievers develop daily mindfulness skills for better well-being.

Buddhists believe there’s always a middle way. My personalized approach is aimed at finding the middle way between personal and professional balance and growth. Most of my clients identify as highly sensitive people (HSP) working through some version of a comeback.

We practice coming back to ourselves when our mental health is in disrepair. We listen to our body's signals to get a better idea of our values, our memories, and our self-talk. This foundational awareness is the key to building and breaking cycles.

Even when things are going well,

it is normal for people to struggle with:

  • brain, nlp, mental health, mind, dsm

    Mental Health

I offer client-centered strategies for intentional growth. My approach to mental-health looks through a lens of archetypes and family system science.

Clients gain motional awareness, racial consciousness and cultural connection.

  • Communication

I ask clients to consider operating from a new principle, “the success of my communication is based on the results I get.”

From here we look at conscious communication and unconscious self-talk.

  • Business

Hiring a skilled professional is the only way to ease the anxiety that comes from working without a plan. Business is not an existential problem. Business is a math problem.

I offer fractional Chief of Staff support for entrepreneurs in hospitality, creative & care industries.

  • disease, chronic pain, sickness, auto-immune

    Chronic Disease

6 in 10 Adults in the US have a chronic disease. 4 in 10 Adults in the US have two or more. How we care for ourselves reflects our integrity. I teach skills to regulate the nervous system, prevent chronic illness, and promote lasting health.

How I helped myself:

Self-Guided Grad School

Latina Woman meditating in Ozark Co, Missouri Occupied Lands of the Osage

If you dream big, you're not alone.

School is expensive, and sometimes we make payments with the cost of our learning.

After completing my first 200-hour yoga training in 2018 and a toxic career exit in 2019, I considered grad school but chose to design my own education. I developed a self-guided grad school by pursuing start-up work, building businesses, and gathering certifications.

Self-study is courageous and essential for self-care. I layer my studies in neuroscience (NLP), leadership, and consent to equip students with skills to form purposeful neural pathways that influence their thoughts, feelings, and actions. These pathways are connections between nerve cells that shape how we think, feel, and act. Enhancing the nervous system involves making wellness a daily practice.
